Read-only files

Hi everyone,

I have what I hope is a fairly unique problem.  Some time ago, my PC
crashed.  Our institutional computing folks were able to save my e-prime
data, although in the process of copying them to a CD, they were turned
into read-only files.  Unfortunately, I cannot get e-prime to recognize
said files.  Anyone have any insight on how to change my files from
read-only to something that i can merge/analyze?
