how to control recall-phase time for different lists

Hello,
There are two different lists - one is the short list which has 6 items
and the other is the long list which has 24 items.
The dependent measure is free-recall response. During the recall test,
the duration of recall phase for each list should be controlled - No
matter how many items have been presented (i.e., short list or long
list), subjects should type their reponses within 1 minute as possible
as they can.
Now their task is typing a word and pressing "Enter" key to type another
word or to study items of next list (i.e., pressing the key 6 times for
the short list and 24 times for the long list). After a given 1 minute,
the recall test has been done, and then next items will be presented.
Please help me out. Thank you so much.
Yoonhee
