"sound device not set to open"

Hi all, 

I am trying to use sound in my most recent eprime program, and when I try to
generate the script, I get an error message that says, "A fatal error
occurred while generating the initialization code for E-Object
"ResponseClick": Cannot generate code due to sound device not set to open."
Any thoughts on what I'm supposed to do to get the sound device to be set to
open? I've used sounds in the past without a problem, so I don't know what
is going on now. Thanks.
