Hi Jim

Having 'no answer' will not be scored by E-Prime. I suggest you leave the
'correct answer' attribute empty for those trials and add an inline script
object just after your stimulus object with a little code something like:

If (stimulus.RESP = "") and (stimulus.CorrectAnswer = "") then

Stimulus.ACC = 1

End if

You could also put a value in the attribute such as 'noresp' as long as you
put that in the code above.

Hi all,

I am relatively new to e-prime, so please excuse me if this is a really
simple
question:

I am presenting single picture stimuli sequentially, asking subjects to
merely
press the space bar when they see a certian feature. When the feature is not
present I would like them not to press any key at all. The former is
achieved
by assigning {SPACE} to the "allowable" section of stimulus property.
However,
for the latter (recording no response)I do not know what to do. I have an
attributes column in the block list defining correct answer, where i have
designated the space bar to stimuli that have the target feature; but what
do I
assign to the correct answer attribute if I would like a 'no response' to be
recorded as "correct".
