nested lists not locking in according to sampling parameters

I have a heavily nested hierarchy of lists. When we actually get to
the list with attributes, I set the parameter to sampling all items
and exit after a full cycle. However, it doesn't seem to be locking in
to the list and pops out after sampling only one line/row/item. Anyone
having this issue?
