RT to moving the mouse/Joystick cursor away from a fixation point

Hello,

I am trying to run an experiment that involves the following:

I have two slide objects. The first slide object has a fixation point
in the center and 8 images arranged around that fixation point in a
circle. During this slide participants are asked to put the joystick/
mouse cursor on top of the fixation point and wait. The second slide
is the Stimulus slide. The second slide is exactly the same as the
previous one, but one of those 8 images in the circle has now been
replaced by a movie object (e-prime 2). To the participant it appears
that one of the images from the previous slide has just started
moving. Once the participants see that they are required to move the
cursor away from fixation and onto one specific area of the movie. The
experiment runs fine but I am having difficulty making e-prime record
the reaction time from the beginning of the second slide (the
stimulus) to when the participant moves the joystick/mouse away from
the center fixation point. This is different from the RT to pressing a
button on the movie, which is easily done by e-prime. The main problem
lies that the code that controls the RT to moving the mouse/joystick
is placed in an in-line object after the stimulus, which implies that
it will not run until after the stimulus object. At the same time I
cannot use the Duration=0 trick to run the In-line at the same time as
the stimulus, because then the stimulus object (slide 2) will not
appear at all. Does anyone know how to get the coordinates of the
position of the cursor from an inline object referring to the joystick/
mouse motions in a slide object while it is running and without
pressing any buttons. At this moment I can get the coordinates of the
cursor but only after a response was made, ie the subject has pressed
a button which makes sense since once a response is made the inline
runs and it just gets the last known coordinates of the mouse/joystick
from the slide object once the response was made.

Any help will be appreciated,

Thank you
