Communicating via Ethernet cable

I am attempting to interface E-Prime with a Nicolet EEG system. It is
apparently the case that this particular Nicolet system is only able
to receive outside information via an ethernet cable. My question
then is can E-prime communicate via ethernet cable to an outside
source to initiate recording? My goal is to coordinate stimulus
presentation in E-prime with EEG recording so that we may time stamp
observed responses with experimental stimuli.
Thanks,
