Joystick in E-Prime 1.x

Hi together,

I am wondering whether there is a way of using a Joystick in E-Prime
1.x. I used to use Joysticks in E-Prime 2 where you can find it as a
standard input device. Unlike in E-Prime 1 where no such option is
given...
