edata files and .txt corrupted

My main workstation still uses EP2.0.8.22 (don't ask why). When I
double-click .edat2 files, they open just fine in E-DataAid. When I
double-click a .emrg2 file, E-DataAid opens to a blank page. But if I
just use File > Open to open the .emrg2 file from within E-DataAid, it
opens just fine. So give that a try.

As David Vinson said, you should submit this to PST Web Support. I
have also submitted this to PST, and they said that they would make
sure that this gets looked at before the final release.
