E-Prime Scale Timing

Hi everyone,

So part of my experiment involves having people rate 2 categories on a 
scale from 1-7. The script for the scale works, however I have a couple of 
questions:

The slide duration is 5000 seconds
The scale is set to refresh every 500 ms so subjects can move back and 
forth along the points, however, this means that the 5s duration also 
resets every 500 ms. How do I have the slide automatically accept and move 
on after 5 seconds regardless of where the subjects are on the scale?

I would also like to differentiate between subjects choosing a response and 
pressing the submit button vs. the slide automatically selecting a number 
after 5 seconds. How is this possible?
