[Efpraxia Pollatou]

Dear all
I have just joined the ethnocomm list, so I would like to take this opportunity
to introduce myself. My name is Efpraxia(Effie) Pollatou and I have recently
completed a phd in social anthropology(University of St.Andrews).I shall
graduate in June 2010. I specialise in teasing speech events and the relations
that local people construct or deconstruct through them. My fieldwork area is
the Greek island of Cefalonia. My research interests include  the ethnography
of speaking, laughter,satire,humour, anthropology of sounds, anthropology at
home.
