One-Year Lecturer in Language and Social Interaction
The Communication Department at University of Wisconsin-Parkside is
seeking a one-year lecturer to teach courses in language and social
interaction, with particular emphases on culture, identity, diversity,
and questions of social justice.
Responsibilities: The person hired for this position will be required
to teach four courses each semester, including 1-2 sections of a large
lecture course for entry-level undergraduates (majors and non-majors).
Additional assignments may include courses in communication theory
and/or research methods, communication and ethnicity, communication
and social movements, and health communication, depending upon
interests/expertise and department needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
· M.A. in related field
· Teaching experience
Preferred:
· Ph.D.
· Sensitivity to, or experience in, working with a diverse,
multicultural population.
Salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The University of Wisconsin System provides a liberal benefits
