Hi Steph,

I associate the term "languaging" with a group of scholars in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Copenhagen (Jørgensen, Karrebæk, Madsen, Møller, etc.). The piece by this group I had taught was called "Polylanguaging in Superdiversity" - you can download it from here: https://unesdoc.unesco.org/ark:/48223/pf0000214772.nameddest=214781 You might find some useful references in the bibliography.

Cheers, David

Subject: [Ethnocomm] origin of "languaging"

Hi everyone, happy summering -- hope somehow everyone finds respite and recharge.

I'm working on an article where I want to use the word "languaging" to introduce it to an audience who probably has never seen it but will intuit what it means. Pretty sure I learned it from Jan Blommaert but unclear which is a meaningful citation if a reader wants to actually follow up.

Could I get some recommendations, please?

thanks in advance,
steph
