Hi all,
Hope your summer is going well and you're feeling re-charged for the new
semester!
I wanted to share an exciting opportunity with you:
The Sociolinguistic Events Calendar
<https://www.baal.org.uk/who-we-are/resources/slxevents/> group (which I'm
a part of) is looking for a new moderator. The calendar is designed to list
all sociolinguistic events around the world, including conferences, public
lectures, training events, PhD summer schools, etc.
The duties include being part of the listserv and entering new events (from
around the world) onto the calendar (about 10-15min a week). It's a fun and
informative gig, I highly recommend.
Feel free to contact me (nsotirov at morris.umn.edu) if you are interested or
have any questions.
Cheers,
Nade

The University of Minnesota Morris is located on land that has been cared
for and called home by the Dakota people, and later the Ojibwe people and
other Native peoples from time immemorial. Our state’s name, Minnesota,
comes from the Dakota name for this region, Mni Sota Makoce – “the land
where the waters reflect the skies.” By offering this land acknowledgment,
we affirm tribal sovereignty and express respect for Native peoples and
nations.
