[etnolinguistica] preservacao de dados e teses

Gente,
Soube atraves de Gary Simons, um dos lideres na area de preservacao
electronica de dados (e linguistica computacional em geral) que existem
iniciativas nos EUA para a preservacao electronica de teses, de
preferencia em XML. Como as pessoas trabalhando com bolsas da
Volkswagen Stiftung, Rausing Endangered Languages Project, EMELD, etc.
ja sabem, a XML e o codigo/lingua preferida para preservacao de dados a
longo prazo.
Alguem sabe se uma iniciativa desta natureza existe no Brasil? Se nao,
alguem sabe se a ABRALIN tem uma iniciativa nesse sentido? A ABRALIN,
ao meu ver, deveria pensar em algum tipo de cooperacao com a CNPq para
o desenvolvimento de tecnologia no Brasil para a preservacao de teses e
estudos sobre linguas indigenas.
Por falar nisso, ha alguma iniciativa de preservar os dados do Museu
Goeldi ou o Museu Nacional electonicamente?
