Frau/Fraeulein and Madame/Mademoiselle

As a coincidence, I'm looking for research done on German "Frau"/"Fraeulein" and French "Madame"/"Mademoiselle", both theoretical and empirical studies. Any help will be welcome.

Please forgive the cross listing of this message.
I am looking for research on the use of women's titles in corpora of
American English.  I am especially interested in the frequency of title
use in spoken English.  I am not terribly concerned (at this point) with
who, when or why particular titles are used.  Any suggestions?
