The Great American Think Off is coming up again in New York Mills, MN.
Their topic this year is:

"Competition or Cooperation: Which benefits society more?"

  To enter the contest, submit an essay of 750 words or less based on
personal experience and observation. Four finalists will be chosen to
debate their views on June 11, 2005 in New York Mills. Travel and lodging
costs are provided to the four finalists in addition to $500 in prize
money. There is no fee to enter the contest. For detailed information and

The postmark deadline for entries is April 1, 2005. Finalists will be
announced May 1, 2005. The debate will be held in New York Mills,
