If schadenfreude is at the least causally active/most (more?) responsive
end of the spectrum, would "don't get mad, get even" be at the
causal end>

Does schadenfreude include having been somehow within the misfortune
experiencer's sphere, or simply having been an observer of the experiencer's
misfortune.
