Storage vs. computation

Is it just a coincidence that this (fascinating) discussion is taking place
shortly before the UTRECHT CONGRESS ON STORAGE & COMPUTATION IN LINGUISTICS
next week?  Certainly the terminology is the same - as opposed to, say,
rote vs. rule.

Since this topic is the one most central to my work just now, I am very sorry
I cannot attend that conference.  Would anyone who is going be willing to send
back reports to the rest of us?
