Well, I am honored that in my ignorance I 'discovered' something that
Generative Semanticists already knew. It MUST be right.

That's probably why in my classes these days, I always list Generative
Semantics as heavy influence on the development of functional linguistics.
In fact, I usually say that Generative Semantics is alive and well, just
under a wider variety of labels.
