Dear Nino - Occasionally reciprocals can occur in the subject position
in Chinese. See my 'The syntax and pragmatics of anaphora' (Cambridge UP
1994) p 277 (vi) for an example. Also my new book 'Aanaphora: a
cross-linguistic study' (Oxford UP 2000) might be of interest to you.
