I believe that some of us have been a little swamped with the beginning of
the Fall term.
We still have to report the last vote and decide on structure and
nominations, but meanwhile here is a proposal to move us forward without too
much time commitment for a few days. Let's do a vote on the organizational
name beginning Wednesday, September 8, end on Saturday, September 12. Send
your vote for your *2* favorites to strechter at csuchico.edu. If you would
like to post an additional suggestion before the vote begins on Wednesday,
feel free. We'll soon have a run-off once the list is narrowed. Here is a
summary of the names, once again.
There have been a number of names and acronyms proposed. A lot of people
liked the idea of sticking with 'gala;' we have been politely asked by the
organizers of the other GALA not to do this. Here's the summary of names and
associated ideas.
