Dear all,

The following link is to an outrageous attack on Monica Macaulay and
Colleen Brice's "Language" article promoting nonsexist language in
linguistics. The attack is based on Paul Postal's equally ludicrous
response piece in the same journal. It's worth noting that Macaulay and
Brice's is the first article on language and gender in "Language" since
Mary Haas's article "Men's and women's speech in Koasati" in 1944.
