Linguistic Expertises

We are organizing a panel for the upcoming American Anthropology Association Conference that examines linguistic expertise within a broad range of language socialization contexts, and examines how it is negotiated, acquired, performed, and evaluated. Papers on this panel will ideally span a variety of contexts, such as language socialization, endangered language communities, and language and communication workshops. The panel will be submitted to the Society of Linguistic Anthropology section. 

In order to be considered for the panel, please submit a tentative abstract to adkins at umail.ucsb.edu or Jennifer.Davis at colorado.edu by March 12th.
