International Women's Day

Dear all
This time last year I sent a ‘Happy International Women’s Day’ message,
and received several replies pointing out that the situation of women
worldwide left much to be unhappy about (with examples). Point taken and
we should not forget this (and this is one reason why IGALA exists, to
analyse and assist in some small way here). But let’s not forget
achievements either which have resulted in improvements in women’s lives
and in gender relations more broadly.
