The Institut de Linguistique et Phonétique générales et appliquées (ILPGA) has an opening position as Full Professor, in the field of sociolinguistics

The position is a permanent one. French citizenship is not a prerequisite. French candidates are required to have the CNU qualification in section 7 (linguistics). Foreign candidates can obtain equivalence subject to certain conditions (see

Teaching
The future colleague will be teaching at the Bachelor, Master and Doctorate levels in sociolinguistics, general linguistics, interactional sociolinguistics, linguistics and social sciences, linguistic anthropology, qualitative methods, history and epistemology of sociolinguistics. 
Teaching will be primarily in French

Research activities
The candidate must be a leading expert in one of the fields of sociolinguistics. 
He/she will have to coordinate and develop projects in the field of « linguistics of speech practices » in the frame of the Research Team 1483. He/she will have to increase the visibility of French research in international conferences and international publications. 
An interactional approach applied to multimodal corpus would be appreciated.

A significant investment in the management of the department is expected.
