Announcing IGALA8  Graduate Essay Competition

The International Language and Gender Association (IGALA) is calling for outstanding graduate student papers in the fields of language and gender. Submissions should be 5000 - 7000 words in length, in Word (.doc) format, 12 pt font and will be accepted in English or French. Submissions should not have been published or accepted for publication and co-authored submissions are acceptable as long as all authors are graduate students. Please note that submissions co-authored by supervisors will not be allowed.

Please include your name, address, department and university, telephone number and email address in the body of the email; in addition please confirm your status as graduate student. Awards will be presented at the IGALA 8 conference in Vancouver, Canada, June 5- 7, 2014.

Please also note that in order to submit a paper, you must have joined or renewed your IGALA membership by the conference registration deadline of 1st April 2014.

Submissions should be emailed as an attachment to: IGALA8paper prize at gmail.com. Submission deadline is 30th April 2014
