International Gender and Language Asociation Biennial Conference - Gaborone 2018

University of Botswana
June 20, 2018 - June 22, 2018

The 10th International Gender and Language association conference will be held in Gaborone at the University of Botswana, and will address the broad theme "Language, Gender and Sexuality in Multicultural Contexts".

The conference will be hosted by the Department of English in the Faculty of Humanities. The English Department is the largest department in the faculty and has two sections: the linguistics section and the literature section.

The venue of the conference is Block 252 near the student centre.

Confirmed Plenary Speakers are Lilian Atanga, University of Bamenda, (Cameroon), Rodrigo Borba, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Bonnie McElhinny, University of Toronto (Canada). The fourth speaker will be announced in due course.
