This is just a friendly reminder that the deadline for paper submission for
the Language in the Media conference, which will be hosted in Rio de
Janeiro in July 2019, is fast approaching. Please, take a look at the
conference website for more information: http://languageinthemedia.com

The theme of the conference is mediatising resistance, which is specially
fitting to the current political moment Brazil is facing due to the
election of a far-right president who plans to prohibit gender and
sexuality studies and activism in the country. Because of this, we need all
international academic support. Your presence in the conference would be a
form of resisting so please consider submitting a paper.

We look forward to seeing you in Rio.
