[Gala-l] IGALA elections: deadline for nominations October 18th

Dear IGALA members,

There are just TWO DAYS left to nominate yourself or somebody else to the IGALA Board!

The following positions are available:
​
Vice President (President-Elect)
​Secretary
Graduate Rep
​Ordinary Member
​Social Media/Communications Officer
​
You will find descriptions of these roles on our website, here<http://igalaweb.wixsite.com/igala/about>.

To nominate yourself, please write a short statement giving a brief biography and highlighting how you can contribute to any of the specific tasks associated with the above roles. Please email Kate Power<mailto:k.power at business.uq.edu.au?subject=IGALA%20election%20nominations>, IGALA Secretary by Thursday October 18th. Please ensure that your email has the subject header 'IGALA nominations', and that you state clearly which role you are nominating yourself to. This will be posted on the IGALA website ahead of the election period in November 2018.

You can also nominate somebody else: please email Kate Power<mailto:k.power at business.uq.edu.au?subject=IGALA%20nominations> by Thursday October 18th with their name and email address. They will then be contacted directly and asked to provide a candidate statement, as above.

Once candidate statements have been published (from Monday 22nd October), IGALA members will have until Friday 30th November to vote - more information coming soon on the voting process.
