CALL FOR NOMINATIONS!?


Please consider nominating someone for election to the IGALA Board. The following positions are open:

Secretary


Graduate Rep


Ordinary Member(s)

Elections will take place during the month of November 2018. Candidates will be asked to write a statement, which will be posted on the IGALA website for two weeks prior to the election.? Please consider taking the time to nominate yourself or someone you know. Candidates must be current IGALA members in good standing. To check on your own membership status, please check the 'Join IGALA' page on the website: http://igalaweb.wixsite.com/igala/join-igala


Overview of the t?imeline for elections:

Sept. 17 -- Call for nominations - message to GALA-L and on social media; follow up message to board members
Mid-September through October -- follow up on nominations, verify that those nominated are IGALA members in good standing, solicit candidate statements from people willing to stand for election; re-send call for nominations once or twice on social media and GALA-L
Oct. 15-Nov. 1 -- Publish candidate statements on-line and announce voting period of one month (November); include reminder that you must be a current member to vote.
