The Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies (GSWS) program at the University
of Pittsburgh invites applications for a non-tenure-stream Lecturer
position to begin fall 2020.  We are seeking a dynamic, innovative teacher
who works at the intersection of critical race/ethnicity studies and
gender/sexuality studies. The initial appointment is for one year, followed
by a three-year renewable term.  The teaching load is three courses per
semester.

 Essential qualifications are

-A PhD in hand by the time the appointment begins

-A research program involving critical race/ethnicity studies and
gender/sexuality studies

-Ability to teach courses in feminist, gender, queer, or sexuality studies
from an interdisciplinary perspective

-Ability to teach foundational courses (Introduction to Gender, Sexuality,
and Women’s Studies; Introduction to Feminist Theory)

-Ability to teach advanced courses on one or more of the following topics:
Gender and Race; Women of Color Feminism; Racialized Masculinities; Queer
of Color Critique; Race, Gender and Disability

Desired additional qualifications are

-Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in developing curriculum,
organizing events, and participating in collective governance

-Experience directing undergraduate research projects or internships
