[Gala-l] Extension of Panel Proposal deadline: IGALA11 (London | 29 June-02 July 2020)

Hi all,

We are extending the deadline for submitting proposals for organised panels for IGALA11<http://www.qmul.ac.uk/igala11> until Monday 16th September (23:59, AoE: UTC-12).

We invite proposal for a limited number of organised panels that speak specifically to the conference theme of Language and the Geopolitics of Gender. Proposals may be for panels that are single-length (2 hours with 4 speaker slots) or double-length (4 hours with 8 speaker slots). Proposals for panels should include an overall description of the panel topic (max. 500 words) plus abstracts for each proposed paper (max. 500 words each). Panels will be required to keep to the regular conference timetable of 30-minute slots (20-minute talks + 5 minutes for discussion + 5 minutes for changeover).

Panel proposals should be combined into a single PDF document and be submitted via EasyAbs (http://linguistlist.org/easyabs/IGALA11<https://eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Flinguistlist.org%2Feasyabs%2FIGALA11&data=02%7C01%7Ce.levon%40qmul.ac.uk%7C33b894e6be4e440f746708d71414f0f3%7C569df091b01340e386eebd9cb9e25814%7C0%7C0%7C636999952539963606&sdata=XmPkKDbE3B0In5PJyU1V1%2BbJWUSQBBOYvn0WGLXS9tg%3D&reserved=0>), indicating that the submission is for a panel. Panel organizers need not remain anonymous, though abstracts for individual papers in the panel should be anonymised.

The deadline for submitting individual paper/poster abstracts (i.e., outside of panels) remains the same: 1st November 2019 (23:59 AoE, UTC-12).
