Selection policy: Bursaries will be determined based on the conference abstract, the applicant’s potential benefit from attending, and financial need. * A statement of the amount requested and a detailed budget (e.g., airfare and accommodation).
* A short statement from an academic supervisor or head of department to explain why the applicant would benefit from attending the conference, and why the applicant’s institution and/or country of residence is not able to provide funding to attend the conference.
Note: Individuals who are not affiliated with an academic institution at the time of application may submit a short statement explaining their funding situation and outlining how they may benefit from attending the conference. Applications written in English, Spanish, or Portuguese are acceptable for submissions.
Due Date: Applications for travel bursaries for IGALA13 must be received by 5pm, June 30, 2025 (EST).
Notification: A committee drawn from IGALA executive members will assess the application and will notify successful applicants as soon as possible after receiving the application.
Receipt stipulation: Successful applicants are required to submit all receipts to the application committee upon attending the conference. Travel bursaries will be distributed by the IGALA13 Conference Organizing Committee.
