Subject: Please vote on amendments to our IGALA bylaws

Dear colleagues,

>From time to time, it's necessary for members of IGALA to vote on amendments to the association's bylaws. The bylaws inform the structure and activities of IGALA, and it's important that they're kept up to date. At our annual Executive Meeting in March 2026, the IGALA Executive Board discussed and agreed upon several updates to IGALA's bylaws, mostly relating to specific responsibilities and processes associated with the election of officers to the Board and the organising of our biennial conference. According to Article XVI of IGALA's bylaws, we must now present our proposed amendments to you, and they will be implemented following approval by a majority of members.

I would therefore be very grateful if you could please engage in this important process by completing this (very quick!) online ballot form: IGALA bylaw amendments 2026<https://forms.office.com/e/bsz8kxRdB4>.

You will find a brief summary of each update on the ballot form and will be asked to either accept or refuse each proposed amendment.
