I know it is bad form for a list administrator
to pull pranks like that. but i really thought
it would be an obvious and shameless hoax.
It translates approximately to:
"Brave Theodoric, lord of seamen, ruled (? or, rode) Redmere's strand.

bearing a shield."

I love that site. That stone was so clever, too bad it was fake. They went
out of their way to drill mooring holes in a rock far away from the stone
and leave other evidences. too bad they forgot "oppdagelse" was a modern
invention. How many goths were there supposed to be? 11 or so?
