   I am very pleased when I see people writing long stretches of prose or
poetry in Gothic (or other difficult-to-acquire tongues); but unfortunately
I rarely have the time to scrutinize them as closely as I would like.  I
expect that some others may have the same problem.  In response to this, I
have devised some specimens of Gothic verse which are quite as short as
they can be while retaining any meaning at all; I present the following
Haiku Gutiska (neuter pl!) written in a few minutes of spare time in the
hope that others will be teased - or angered - enough to offer their own
specimens!

1.	Hrigg gultheinana
	Hailagana Gutam sahw
	Was Thiudareikis

2.	Hairus bairhts skeinith
	Jah harduba beitith, nist
	Swe kukeins maujo

3.	Milhma riqizeins
	Filhaith bairhtans himinans
