Hails!
I greet all friends of ancient music. I happened to find one of my
favouritemusicgroups on the internet. The group is called
Hedningarna, "the heathens". It´s possible to download a sample of
the nordic bagpipe. Some existing as late as the 19th c. As the
existed in many countries in europe during the medieval-
ages. "Dolkaren" has medieval roots."Metsän tyttö" is in an old-
fashioned song in finnish chanting singing style. If I find something
about "the Hurdy-Gurdy", I will get in touch. That instrument and
the "tail-harp", tagelharpan, I find very interesting. The strings
were usually made by horse-tail and has an "ancient sound.
