Yes, but who is he, Hachmann that is?

We differ on Professor Hermodsson. I think
his book is a fine introduction to Gothic
history and culture. Of course Ingemar's
book is more detailed and is especially
useful on the origin of the Goths.

I can recommend Hachmanns book.

On the other hand forget about Hermodsson. I have met him. He is a retired
professor in the German language and has written this book outside his
area. He does not command the subject of the Goths.
