Esteemed listmembers,
Here is another bibliographical note on the relation this
time of some regional/provincial names. I have
received at least one angry letter from a listmember
who told me to provide the whole article in Hoops 2nd
edition on the list (I think it was the one
on Goetar) for Keth, but I guess this member thought
Hoops was just a one volume encyclopedia
and that there were just a few words to quote.
Sorry that I had not had time to provide more to
Keth and listmembers on these matters but I am at the
time being engaged in writing a number of
encyclopedia entries for a publishing company,
taking much time.

Goetland, Goetaland, Gautland, Gotland, Gutland
Professor Andersson in his "Goetar" article in Hoops 2nd
ed. discussed the area of habitation of the Goetar:
".seit vorgeschitl. Zeit in S-Schweden angesiedelt.Die
Bezeichnung wird vor allemmit zwei Landschaften verbunden,
Oestergoetland (aschwed, Østragøtland, 'das ö. Gøtland') an
Also Oestergoetland, Vaestergoetland, and Gotland (Gutland)
are seperately treated in Hoops 2nd ed.
They will also be treated in this short selected bibliography.
Gotland is discussed by Ingemar. In Goterkaellan (2000) on
around 50 pages with Goetaland on around 15 pages.
