Hoops Encyclopedia 2nd ed. refers to the
Burgundians as having once migrated from
the island of Bornholm (which in the Middle
Ahes was named Burgundarholm).
There are Burgundian inscriptions left and
the Burgundian language was an East Germanic
language.
