Esteemed listmembers,

In northeastern Europe Goths and Norsemen met the Fennic
peoples. In Ukraine they met the Iranian Alans. Compare
the Estonian-Karelian Kalevala epic and the Ossetian
Nartes epic.

Turkic cultural activity created the proper climate between
the Goths and the Alans (remember the religious tolerance
of the Khazar Empire) for marriage of cultures, the idea
of translation, and cooperation also in practica application,
on script systems.

Finally I would to emphasize that the subject of this
list is Gothic history and linguistics.
