Hi everyone,
I also discovered this homepage:
http://www.guteinfo.com/special/gutamal.htm
It doesn't sound to me that they would be Stockholm-biassed. It looks
like written by serious "gotlänningar"
One quote:
-------------
i gutamål!
stavelse.)
-----------
A translation of this is:
"Even older written documents on "gutamål is about 300 runic
inscriptions. Here you discover that the language doesn't differ very
much from the language of the older swedish runestones. Then the
swedish still had the diftongs ai and au. remark! that the letter u
most often stands for the sound o in "gutamål"! ( Diftong is called a
connection of two vocal sounds in the same syllable.) You said "raisa
stain" instead of resa sten, kaupa instead of "köpa", but already in
the thirteenth century can you see in the landscape laws that the
simple vocals had gained power."
Best wishes
