Hello Anders,
My edition is from 1997. It is an inexpensive edition
from "Fabel Bokförlag - Stockholm". It measures only
eleven by eighteen centimetres, and is a little bit
on the small side for my taste. (299 pages; isbn
91-7842-224-8) It does have some artwork inside,
which does brighten up a bit. I like it better than
Faulkes edition, because it has the verses in Old Norse
next to the Swedish translation, which makes for much
quicker access to the original text. And then of course
the fact that it is Swedish, much more suitable as
a language for Snorri than English, in my opinion;
that is if you are able to read both. It also has a
good index, like Faulkes has it. But what I DO miss
is a general index that lists ALL ON words used -
not just the proper names.
The text I quoted is indeed from Ch. 65, on page
213 of the edition I have. The book I have cost
around 60 SEK. Is your edition of better quality
than mine ? In that case I'd like to try and get
a hardcover edition.
Do you know of a good bookstore for Swedish books
by the way? Anyone know one for Danish books?
Best regards
Keth
