Is anyone familiar with the derivation of *ibdalja-?
It occurs only once in the corpus, in the dative "ibdaljin", meaning
"incline" or "slope".
I suppose the only options are a masculine "*ibdalja" or a neuter adjectival
noun "*ibdaljo" (dat. of n. *ibdali would of course be *ibdalja).
The meaning of *ib- here is also unclear.
Any educated opinions on the matter would be appreciated.
