Hi Troels,

I reported that according to some authors this Fara/Phara became a
duke of the Bavarians or a part of the Bavarians. At any rate the
geneology of the Bavarian Agilofings given in Hoops RGA, mentiones
this Fara as father (or relative) of the Bavarian duke Garibald.
Nevertheless, I suppose the borders between the tribal dukedom of the
Bavarians and ancient Bohemia were likely fluid. Also, the Soesdala-
style artefacts from the area of Regensburg (Bavaria) come to mind in
this context, but they date to the end of the 5th century I think.
