but the h- is inorganic;...A form Elouroi with both inorganic
h- and metathesis was derived by folk etymology from
Greek elos 'swamp'; this etymology...is also mentioned
by Jordanes (Getica 117). (The 'swamp' of Maeotis is
the Sea of Azov, the first area of East Erulian settlement
and the point of departure for the raids of the third century, of which
Dexippos was an eyewitness)."
