Gautic/Gothic placenames are of interest in relation to
the Goetar or Goeter (Icelandic gautar) in the Swedish
region Goetaland. A possible
connection is found in Ptolemaios 100 AD (doutai
or goutai) and then of course, in detailed discussed
on the list, Jordanes (gauthigoth) and Procopius (gautoi).
The possible connection geatas=gauti=Goths has also
been debated.

Goetala (sacred place of the Gauti then with the
connection to the god Gaut, revered both by the
Gauti and the Goths), Vaestergoetland province.

Goetlunda (plural of lund=grove with the connection
to the Goetar and the god Gaut).

Goetene (-ene related to -vin=gracing ground,
goet- to Gauti, Goetar, the god Gaut and and
the verb gjuta=pour).

Goeteve (like Goetala probably meaning
sacred place).

Goetaakra (aaker=tilled field).

Goetavi (vi=sacred place).

Goethem (hem=home).

Similar placenames of course abound on Gotland.
