I guess the obvious answer is "hails!" - mentioned in a Latin poem
(as _eils_) as a typical sound at barbarian feasts.
If that's too obvious, how about *awi? The root appears in Goth.
_awiliudon_ 'give thanks'. *Awi (neuter ja-stem) would be the
Gothic equivalent of Proto-Norse _auja_, usually translated 'luck'.
It is one of that group of words with possible cultic associations
which recur on runic bracteates: lathu, laukaz & alu.
