[gothic-l] Wikipedia in Gothic; Native speakers

Hi all,

Somebody made a proposal on the Wikipedia mailinglist at
http://mail.wikipedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikipedia-l to create a
Wikipedia in Gothic.

It has turned into a huge debate and I think a lot of the people are
against creating a Wikipedia in Gothic. I think it would really help
if some of you guys went over there and gave your opinion.

A crucial part of *my* argument is that there is a Gothic revival
movement, and that there are native speakers. This was just based off
of something I read somewhere but I'm beginning to think it may not be
true. Is there an active Gothic revival movement? Is anybody raising
their children in Gothic? If not, why aren't they?

Apparently one of the main arguments against a Gothic wikipedia
project is the language having no native speakers and that there is
only one person who asked for it to be created. Even if there really
are no native speakers, I think if people showed up and showed support
for a Gothic Wikipedia, there is a better chance it will be created.

Two more questions:

How would you spell "wikipedia" in Gothic? Please name the letters
instead of trying to type it out.

Also, what is the translation in Gothic of "the free encyclopedia"
("free" as in "freedom", not  as in "gratis")? Again, please name the
individual letters instead of trying to type it (for compatibility
reasons).
